Rhinoplasty

Facelift

A facelift (technically known as a rhytidectomy) can reverse the signs of aging by removing excess fat, tightening underlying muscles, and redraping the skin of your face and neck. A facelift is rejuvenation surgery that now goes beyond just tightening skin. A modern facelift usually extends below the skin to address the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) by repositioning underlying facial muscles as well as reducing excess skin. A facelift may be performed by itself to address the lower third of the face and neck or it can be performed in conjunction with other procedures such as a endoscopic brow lift, eyelid surgery, mid face surgery, ear reshaping, or nose reshaping.

Endoscopic Browlift

A browlift, or forehead lift, is most commonly performed in the 40s through 60s; however, some patients in their early 30s may benefit from this procedure. A forehead lift restores a more youthful and rejuvenated look to the area above the eyes. This procedure will correct a droopy brow and can improve the furrows that can make a person appear angry, sad or tired.

Dr. Grover utilizes the endoscopic, or minimally invasive, technique to perform a browlift thus minimizing your downtime and discomfort. Absorbable "tacks" are used to help suspend the brow in its newly elevated position until it has healed in its newer, higher position. The incisions are each about 2cm in length and are all kept hidden within the hair.

Eyelid Surgery

Upper blepharoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, canthoplasty and canthopexy are procedures performed to obtain periorbital rejuvenation and improve ones tired appearing look. Many factors contribute to the aged appearance of the eyes. Upper eyelids can lose their shape over time and become droopy hiding the natural arch of alert expression. One may lose the crisp upper eyelid crease associated with youth. To correct a sagging upper eyelid, incisions are made where the natural arch and crease of your eye will be. Through this incision, skin, muscle and fat may be removed to create a more youthful, rejuvenated appearance.

Many techniques are available to create a rejuvenated or youthful look of the lower eyelids. The technique chosen will depend on whether there is loose, excess lower eyelid skin and muscle or only prominent lower eyelid fat. Incisions may be placed under the lower eyelid eyelashes or within the underside of the lower eyelid thus without leaving any visible scars. After contouring fat, either by excision or redraping, the loose muscular sling around the eye may be tightened and loose, excess skin may be conservatively removed.
